The Registration is a spine tingling, chilling thriller and just may be the best book I have read this year… it may be the best book I have read in awhile!
Disclosure: I received this book to review through iRead Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

You can’t outrun the Registration.
Imagine it’s legal to commit one murder in your lifetime⎯if you Register the victim and accomplish the kill within fourteen days. So when Lynell Mize stands in line to Register the man who abused her as a child, she’s shocked to hear a stranger Register her to be killed. Why would anyone who doesn’t know her squander his one legal murder on her?
Desperate to survive the next two weeks, she must find out who wants to kill her⎯and why.
Easier said than done as Lynell soon discovers that multiple strangers have used their Registration on her. Along the way, she reunites with her estranged husband who is determined to dig up a past Lynell prefers to keep buried. With only days left to live, Lynell fights to uncover the truth and survive a destiny not of her choosing.

I don’t know that I have the right words to give The Registration justice!
The Registration is set in the future – post a civil war that I certainly hope is after my time! To keep the peace and prevent future wars, Gideon Elysian creates the Registration – the legality to commit one murder in your lifetime if you Register the victim and accomplish the kill within fourteen days.
When Lynell overhears her name being Registered by a stranger, fear kicks as one has rarely, if ever, outran the Registration and survived for fourteen days.
What happens next is a spine tingling, chilling, never ending treasure trove of skeletons released from their closets; surprises at every turn; and daring attempts to survive day by day – sometimes moment by moment.
This story is definitely not for the faint of heart or the younger crowd. iRead Book Tours rated it a “PG-13 + M” and I absolutely agree with that rating. There is described torture and torture left to your imagination.
The Registration was a really good, thrill read if you enjoy a good thriller. I highly recommend it and can see myself reading this again in the future (something I rarely do). This is absolutely a 5 star read!
