Think Hunger Games. Think in the future (way future) and battle for survival. The rich survive while the poor fight for their lives to be… well, the last one standing.

Let me set the scene…

The inner circle is surrounded by a giant wall. Have you ever watched the Avatar cartoon? The “big city” is surrounded by this giant wall to keep the outside world out, separate from the inside world. That’s what we have here.

On the inside is the “worthy”. BUT, they are all women. No men. The world is ran by women. “Grand Old Dames” to be exact. Hundreds of years old Grand Old Dames because technology.

On the outside is “swamp” with the residents being called “swamp rats”. Again, no men. All women. (Men no longer exist, sorry guys!)

Resilience essentially follows Regina go through a sever thunderstorm that floods the entire swamp, losing her family and everyone else they knew.

While trying to survive the swamp and all that comes with it, the flooding, and losing everything (family, home and belongings) she now must remain out of the reach of the Antiquities from the “inner city” who want her unique DNA for breeding.

I thoroughly enjoyed following Regina’s adventures and escapes as well as her creativity. I look forward to reading the next books in the series to see what happens to her along the way!

About the Author

Lance ErlickHe was raised by a roaming aerospace engineer, growing up in various parts of the United States and Europe, as well as traveling through Asia. He took to stories as his anchor, including the works of Asimov, Bradbury, and Heinlein, and has been writing since age eleven.

Growing up, he was inspired by his father’s engineering work on cutting-edge aerospace projects to look to the future.

In an ideal world, Lance would find time loops where he could step out for a week at a time to read and write. Then he would return to the moment he left, without life getting in the way. Of course, since everyone would have the same ability, he suspects life would still sneak in.

Lance is also the author of short stories and novelettes.

Came home the other day and saw an envelope that s Came home the other day and saw an envelope that said "happy birthday". I got excited that someone sent me an early birthday card...

...except it wasn't for me. It was for Gibbs, our husky... who's birthday is 3 days before mine.

Guess that's what happens when you share your birthday week with the dog. 🤷‍♀️
I personally haven't seen this guy in about a week I personally haven't seen this guy in about a week, but thankfully, hubby saw him yesterday and snapped a pic for me. I swear; Bear gives the cresties a run for their money when it comes to hide and seek!! 🤣
The newest zoo member... not *exactly* what I was The newest zoo member... not *exactly* what I was looking for color wise (I was looking for a gray/lavender, and they seem more red), but I am def smitten. 🥰

This baby is a little spazzy at first but then loves to just chill and sit with me. They aren't quite as jumpy as Aspen (and def friendlier! Aspen still HATES being touched!)

Also, I'm not sure they were well cared for. Breeder said hatch date was 9-8-2022, but they are tiny! Not even the length of my pointer finger!

Anyway, welcome, Leif (pronounced Leaf; thank you, Kadenn...) to the zoo!
Releasing tomorrow!! 😍 I cannot wait!! Releasing tomorrow!! 😍

I cannot wait!!
Pics do not do this baby justice!! And Schuyler i Pics do not do this baby justice!!

And Schuyler is so much more chill than Aspen. I've been able to at least touch them daily and last night, they let me hold them!! HUGE difference from Aspen the spaz who wants no one in her space, none the less touching her! 🤣🤣
