Mistletoe at Moonglow by Deborah Garner {Guest Book Review}

November 29, 2016 by Leila | 3 Comments

[show-book title=”Mistletoe at Moonglow”]

“Christmas at the Timberton Hotel is special. The beauty and peace people find there is magic. Strangers come to escape their pain and find solace and strength. I loved this story. It gave me a sense of hope. The characters are amazing.”

“Deborah weaves a beautiful mosaic of Christmas sights, sounds and smells and introduces us to memorable characters. From the grieving widow to the five-year-old child who lost his brother to a reclusive scholar who only wants to sit in front of the fireplace and read, each are treated with genuine emotion and care which adds to this uplifting story.”

“Deborah did it again. What a great christmas story. I love christmas stories and this will be one that I will read year after year.”

This book review is being guest posted for Ana Paula Medeiros.

Mistletoe at Moonglow is my first Deborah Garner book and it is a sweet novella perfectly right for the Christmas season. Mist, Beth and Clive welcome a great group of people for the Christmas season in the Timberton Hotel. This is a sweet story about people, sorrow, happiness and a kaleidoscope of feelings. The author knows how to develop deep and memorable characters even with it being in such a short novella.

I will search for more books of this author and recommend it to you all.

Silver Bells at Moonglow

Christmas at the Timberton Hotel arrives each year with a unique set of guests, some returning, some new. When this holiday brings a celebrity seeking reprieve, sisters who are distant yet closer to each other than they think, a widow approaching a new horizon, and an eclectic smattering of local townsfolk and visiting relatives, the season is certain to be eventful. Add in a hint of romance and there’s more than snow in the air around the small Montana town.

Elegant decor and exquisite cuisine from resident artist and chef, Mist, form a backdrop to much needed camaraderie, bringing strangers and friends together. When the last note of Christmas carols has faded away, the soft whisper of silver bells from the front door’s wreath will usher guests and townsfolk alike back into the world with hope for the coming year.

Her passions include photography, hiking and animal rescue. She speaks five languages, some substantially better than others. She now divides her time between California and Wyoming, dragging one human and two canines along whenever possible.

Spending time with my kids, who are away at college, and being together as a family is very special. We have many Christmas traditions, and being able to enjoy them all as a family is very special when they are normally scattered far and wide. Being with my loved ones is what warms my heart at Christmas!

Came home the other day and saw an envelope that s Came home the other day and saw an envelope that said "happy birthday". I got excited that someone sent me an early birthday card...

...except it wasn't for me. It was for Gibbs, our husky... who's birthday is 3 days before mine.

Guess that's what happens when you share your birthday week with the dog. 🤷‍♀️
I personally haven't seen this guy in about a week I personally haven't seen this guy in about a week, but thankfully, hubby saw him yesterday and snapped a pic for me. I swear; Bear gives the cresties a run for their money when it comes to hide and seek!! 🤣
The newest zoo member... not *exactly* what I was The newest zoo member... not *exactly* what I was looking for color wise (I was looking for a gray/lavender, and they seem more red), but I am def smitten. 🥰

This baby is a little spazzy at first but then loves to just chill and sit with me. They aren't quite as jumpy as Aspen (and def friendlier! Aspen still HATES being touched!)

Also, I'm not sure they were well cared for. Breeder said hatch date was 9-8-2022, but they are tiny! Not even the length of my pointer finger!

Anyway, welcome, Leif (pronounced Leaf; thank you, Kadenn...) to the zoo!
Releasing tomorrow!! 😍 I cannot wait!! Releasing tomorrow!! 😍

I cannot wait!!
Pics do not do this baby justice!! And Schuyler i Pics do not do this baby justice!!

And Schuyler is so much more chill than Aspen. I've been able to at least touch them daily and last night, they let me hold them!! HUGE difference from Aspen the spaz who wants no one in her space, none the less touching her! 🤣🤣
